About the Materials
Clay: The clay used for all hand-built and wheel-thrown works is stoneware or porcelain produced by Armadillo Clay & Supply, Austin Texas. The clay used for cast pieces is Amaco #1 Porcelain Slip. All ceramic works are fired to Cone 6 or Cone 5.
Glazes: All glazes used are lead-free. The glazes used on functional pieces, which may be used for food or beverages, are commercially manufactured food-safe glazes.
Adhesives: Due to the complexity in design, some of the Studio Works may have been assembled using commercial grade epoxies or cyanoacrylates.
Other Materials: When I was doing Steampunk, I used vacuum tubes, incandescent bulbs, and other related items.
